Book Lovers Convention and New Release

I just got back from the Book Lovers’ Convention in New Orleans. What a fabulous week that was! I enjoyed going to a couple of really informative panels on writing and marketing that energized me, especially after I’d attended a Story Grid workshop here in Reno with my writers’ group. I am always trying to grow as a storyteller, so I enjoy these opportunities to learn more.

I was fighting a cold on one day of the event so I missed two more great workshops plus a pajama party with Meg Tilly. I was so disappointed. She is just a darling, sweet person. Saw my last year’s workshop maven, Cherry Adair  and caught up with her again. I took Cherry’s plotting workshop at the convention here in Reno.

Last year, the convention was a Romance Times event, but RT made that their last one, so this is the start of the new convention and not necessarily limited to romance. So, I promoted my new release, Time Walker, at the event and hope to get some new readers from the event.

The fairy dinner on Friday night was completely magical. Wonderful decorations, lots of people in costume and some delicious food. My table was hosted by author Karen Rose, who was not the wicked fae she’d dressed as. Charming lady.

Time Walker is releasing May 31st!

The first of the Time Threads series is now in per-order on Amazon and on other e-book distributors.

Meet Mali Harper,  a novice in the Time Travel division on the moon space station. Her job is to monitor the timeline and alert her boss if an anomaly shows up on it.  Boring job for the most part until an incident occurs. Then her whole world is turned upside down.

The book is a time travel, alternate history tale with a touch of steampunk.

For more information and a teaser from the book, go to the launch page.

Book 5 of the Funeral Singer Series is available now!

As of midnight tonight, A Song of Redemption is available for Kindle and paperback. This is the final book of the Funeral Singer series, so to celebrate I am putting all five e-book versions on sale for 99-cents each. That all five books for $4.95 U.S. Canada and overseas are a little higher, but also discounted.  They will be on sale for the next three days, until midnight on October 24.

If you have been waiting for the series to be finished, then now is the time to grab your copies. Come follow the Funeral Singer, Gillian Foster, as she encounters spirits, ghosts, and demons thanks to her unexpected gift.

You can find all the books in the Funeral Singer series at Amazon.

The new book, A Song of Redemption,  is not yet available on non-Amazon outlets, but the rest of the series is on iBooks, Nook, Kobo, and others. They should be going to the same lower prices on those outlets as well.

New Release on October 22, 2018

I am so excited to announce that the 5th, and final, book in the Funeral Singer series, A Song of Redemption will be released on Monday, October 22nd. I’ve loved working on this series, and I think the final book is an explosive and exciting wrap-up to Gillian Foster’s story.

A Song of Redemption

At a loss and depressed following her team’s failure to contain Belphegor, Gillian Foster begins to pull herself together to plan her next moves and build a network of other spirit escorts to help her. The threat of the soul thieves grows daily and thrusts the need to stop them solely on her.

When a horrifying attack on her friend brings the problem home leaving Gillian’s life in turmoil, she struggles to control the damage. Working with Orielle, the anthropologist, who is an expert on supernatural creatures, they soon find support from an unexpected source—the Vatican.

The path ahead is clear; the tasks to be done defined. Now all Gillian has to do is execute them and stay alive.

The Kindle book is now listed for pre-order at 99-cents on Amazon.

To celebrate the release, I am putting all five of the Funeral Singer books, including this new one, on sale for 99-cents each. It’s a great time to pick up the set for a total of $4.95. The books will be at this price from October 22 to October 24.

Next Project

Once this novel is out, I will be prepping for this year’s NaNoWriMo and getting my plot lined up for a new book. I have two ideas that I am trying to narrow down for this project, and I am excited about both. More on that after I get into the writing.

In the Works

I have two books that are in the editing process right now. One is a related book to O’Ceagan’s Legacy, which is to say it’s in the same universe but features one of the supporting characters in the book. That book is In Strange Waters, and I plan to release it in January 2019. Look for more information in December. It’s a little different from O’Ceagan’s Legacy, but it is a fun read with a different viewpoint.

The other book is Time Walker, a fantasy novel that combines time travel with a touch of Steampunk. The planned release date for it is in May 2019 to coincide with the Book Lovers’ Convention in New Orleans. The story combines adventure and a bit of romance… But look for more about that in March 2019.

Release Day is here for my eBook!

Photo Teaser for "A Song of Forgiveness"

“Almost to my house, I could see the upper story from the street and I glimpsed a dark patch on my roof. I halted and peered at it. Was it a shadow from a tree? No, I couldn’t see any tree that would cast that shadow and the sun was behind me to the west. Then the shadow seemed to flow over the roof, a blob of black covering the area like a moving oil slick…  A shade looking for a way in.

From A Song of Forgiveness:

I am really excited about today’s release of Book Four of the Funeral Singer series. A Song of Forgiveness picks up after A Song of Betrayal as Gillian Foster, the Funeral Singer, realizes her gift has pulled her into a brewing battle between light and dark. The Shades she’s  encountered are increasing in numbers and threatening the souls on the interim plane. Not only that, they are seeking her on the Earth plane as well. Feeling overwhelmed, she’s looking for help and answers.

Can she stop the flow of the soul-devouring creatures or turn them back? What will it take to defeat them?

Join Gillian as she struggles to battle the encroaching evil and ensure her transitioning souls make it safely to the next plane.

A Song of Forgiveness is a thrill ride from start to finish.  Check out my launch page for more information and links to the Amazon store.
